Rosario Faraci

Rosario Faraci is Professor of Business Economics and Management at the Università degli Studi di Catania. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration in 1993; in 1996-97, he got a scholarship from the Italian National Council of Research and he spent two semesters as Visiting Scholar at the Texas A&M University. Actually he teaches at the School of Economics and at the School of Political Sciences. He' s currently Visiting Professor at the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business Administration. He is the President of the Undergraduate Program in Business Economics and Management, Vice Chair of the Department "Impresa, Culture and Società" and he has been the Coordinator of the Master program in e-business. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Program in Business Administration, and actually he is serving as Co-Editor of the Journal of Management and Governance; in addition, he has served as a member of the Research Committee at the Business Policy and Strategy Division at the Academy of Management. On 2007, he has been Co-Organizer of the Special Conference "New Frontiers in Entrepreneurship" organized by the Strategic Management Society and he's the Guest Editor of a special issue "Entrepreneurial Governance" going published by the Journal of Management and Governance. He has published two books and has co-edited two more books; in addition, he has published several articles in both national and international journals. The article "Asset restructuring and business group affiliation in French Civil Law Countries", where he's one of the Co-authors, has been published by the Strategic Management Journal (n.5/2004). His research interests are in the areas of the strategic management of small-and-medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, privatization of the state-owned enterprises, the corporate ownership structures of family business, the market for private equity
